The typical amount spent by a first time buyer in 2006 shot up by a staggering 95% to over £150,000 from £77,914 in 2001, rendering many buyers unable to make their first move onto the property ladder.

Redrow’s Debut properties offer a lifeline to struggling buyers and in Lincoln a brand new marketing suite and show home will make home ownership that little bit easier. Since the summer launch of Debut @ Bunkers Hill, first time buyers have been flocking to the development and now only a few properties in the first release of homes remain available. Buyers can now register their interest in the next phase of homes at the development.

Catherine Cloke, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Midlands) says: “Buying your first property can be daunting – it’s a totally new experience and there’s so much negativity about it in the news at the moment. Our new marketing suite helps make everything that little bit easier – buyers can see exactly what the finished development will look like, pick up individual home layouts, read literature about mortgages and other financial advice and speak with fully trained Redrow staff. They can also take a look inside our show home to see exactly what buying here would be like – and to get a few decorating tips.

“Not only is the price of the home affordable for a first time buyer, but our one monthly service charge, which includes the gas, water and electricity bills, as well as buildings insurance and external maintenance, makes it really easy to budget when setting up home for the first time.”

Redrow also offers the option of using their innovative Easi-buy scheme, which allows buyers to defer 10% of the price of their new home for up to 10 years on a fixed sum basis, which can be paid back via occasional lump sums, monthly repayments or in whole at any time.

There will be 124 Debut properties at Bunkers Hill, which offers the best of town and country living with the hustle of Lincoln town and the tranquillity of open countryside. The development will also include its own carefully planned communal areas.

It is part of the larger Bunkers Hill development, which includes the Carlton Centre retail park with its shops and a recently opened restaurant. The development has easy access to the A15 which leads to the centre of Lincoln.

The city offers a range of amenities in historical surroundings. From tea rooms to pubs, restaurants and bars, a cinema, a broad selection of high street shops and community groups and clubs, buyers will find everything they need. Centred on the world famous cathedral and castle, Lincoln offers magnificent architectural heritage dating back more than 2000 years.

For your chance to snap up a property at Debut @ Bunkers Hill, visit the brand new marketing suite, on Carlton Square, Bunkers Hill, open between 12pm to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, or 10am to 5.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
