Worth the wait

First time buyers Kenny Martin and Joanne Jones first set their sights on a new starter home at Barratt East Midlands' Manor Park development at North Hykeham two years ago. Like many young couples, they found buying a first new home was just beyond their reach.

Now, thanks to help from Barratt - their patience has paid off and they have just moved in to a wonderful two bed Richmore.

Kenny is in the RAF and is stationed at nearby RAF Waddington - so he was able to take advantage of Barratt's generous Forces Discount - which gives buyers £500 cashback for every £25,000 they spend.

Kenny said: "It really was worth waiting for. We were disappointed that we weren't able to move in to the development two years ago. The Richmore is ideal, it has plenty of room and we didn't have to do anything to it. It was carpeted with a landscaped garden - we just moved straight in.

Joanne said: "Manor Farm's sales negotiator, Wendy Smith was exceptionally helpful.

"Because we were first time buyers we had no experience of purchasing a new home - but she kept us in touch with every stage in the process and that really help.

"She dealt with all the details and made moving in easy."

Barratt East Midlands senior sales manager, Nova Eames said: "We have an unrivalled record for helping first time buyers like Kenny and Joanne.

"The forces discount would have helped them to achieve their dream and the advice and assistance they received during the purchase made buying easy."
