Excellence is sealed within Miller Homes

Laurence McLaughlin, site manager for Miller's Brooklands development in Gainsborough has, for the second time, received one of the highest accolades awarded to professionals within the construction industry.

As part of the NHBC's Pride in the Job Campaign, Laurence has, within the last four years, received an amazing five awards from the industry body. Two of which have been a Seal of Excellence. This means Laurence has now been awarded a place in the UK's top 100 site managers, for building the very best quality new homes and managing his site to an exceptional standard.

Laurence said: "I am so proud to have once again received this great accolade. It is a testament to the team of professionals I have working with me and the commitment they give within every build stage process."

The judging process for the Pride in the Job awards takes place over the course of a year, with assessments and spot checks across 38 areas of site management. It includes, technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and the quality controls in place.

Steve Birch, managing director for Miller Homes Yorkshire said: "Laurence is certainly an extraordinary site manager. To win the Seal of Excellence award once is a great achievement but twice is an exceptional tribute to the high standards that are carried out with great precision by Laurence.

"We are really proud of him, he has been the driving force behind one of our most successful developments. He deserves this recognition and is a great asset to the Miller Homes team."

Laurence continued: "I really didn't think I would achieve the award again, I thought the standard of other site managers was particularly high this year. In fact I promised my wife I would book a Caribbean Cruise if I did win, needless to say we are going away next week!"

Laurence is now the site manager at Brooklands in Gainsborough where he is putting his exceptional skills into practice on the range of apartments and four bedroom townhouses under construction.

Brooklands is situated on Foxby Lane on the outskirts of Gainsborough town centre and enjoys panoramic views over the lush green fields of Lincolnshire.
