Redrow helps first-timers onto the property ladder in Lincoln First time buyers may be having a tough ride at the moment but Redrow is looking to get them back on track with its Debut @ Bunkers Hill venture, in Lincoln, which has homes available for an initial outlay of just £47,000.

The award-winning housebuilder's affordable venture on Carlton Square, has already helped many first-timers make the leap on to the property ladder. But now buyers have the opportunity to own 100% of their new home from day one, but defer 25% of the purchase price for up to 10 years.

This means a one-bedroom home that would normally cost £63,000 can be snapped up for just £47,250 in the first instance. What's more, home owners can save themselves thousands of pounds if they pay off the outstanding balance within the first three years.
Also, at a time when household fuel bills are rising, Debut @ Bunkers Hill has another ace up its sleeve. The Debut homes have been designed and built with sustainability in mind, delivering lower fuel bills, less water consumption, and using materials chosen for higher than average recyclability.

Another advantage for the consumer is that they pay a single monthly service charge, which includes the gas and electricity bills, plus water rates, buildings insurance, external maintenance and even the cost of window cleaning, which makes it so much easier for them to budget.

Catherine Cloke, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Midlands) says: "In the current climate of rising living costs, Debut has proved to be a welcome asset for first time buyers desperate for their own home but reluctant to sacrifice every last spare penny.

"The low prices and deferred payment scheme mean young buyers on typical salaries can afford a slice of the action and make their first step on to the ever important property ladder. Also the fact that there is only one bill each month for the main household costs - including gas and electricity - makes budgeting easier and helps smooth the transition from renting or living with parents."

"What's more traditionally many first time buyers are forced to choose between a nice house in a bad area or a bad house in a nice area but with Debut@Bunkers Hill, there is no compromise. The well-built stylish properties sit within a nice location within easy distance of Lincoln city centre and all its shops and amenities."

Currently at Bunkers Hill, there are one-bedroom properties available from just £63,000 and two-storey homes with two double bedrooms and open plan living space for £97,000.
