Site manager wins ‘Building Oscar' for Bryant

But thanks to his meticulous organisation, attention to detail and caring customer service at Bryant's Larks Meadow development in Witham St Hughs in Lincolnshire, Scott wowed the judges to first receive a Quality Award in June before going on to win the regional final. The Regional Award is given to just one site manager in the East Midlands.
Speaking after he received the accolade, Scott said: "This award means so much to me and my team at Larks Meadow, the majority of whom I have worked with over the past five years.
"The NHBC sets a tough competition standard, with every aspect of the site coming under scrutiny by the judges, from the groundwork to the cleanliness of the properties when we hand the keys over to the customers.
"We didn't set out to win an award, just to do the best we can all the time. We've continued to build and sell homes at a steady rate throughout the past year at Larks Meadow, and it's a fantastic honour to have the consistent high standard of my team's work recognised."
Scott (36) started his career in the building trade as a tiler, before working as assistant site manager and then site manager at a variety of East Midlands new-build developments, in Sleaford, Nottingham, Sutton-in-Ashfield and Northampton.
Now a dad to 15-month-old Evelyn, he and wife Vikki have quite literally made their home at Larks Meadow, choosing a three-bedroom Bryant design at the development.
"Living so close to work means I can concentrate on the two most important aspects of life," explains Scott, "spending time with my family and doing a good job."
Scott will now go on to represent the East Midlands at the NHBC's Supreme Awards; the national final with winners announced at a gala ceremony in London in January.
