Barratt celebrates a seal of excellence winner

Barratt North Midlands is celebrating its success after one of the team picked up a top industry award. Justin Williams, site manager at the Manor Farm development in Hykeham, Lincoln has been awarded the regional ‘Seal of Excellence' Award at the 2008 NHBC's ‘Pride in the Job' Awards; the ‘Oscars' of the construction industry.

Justin, who has been part of the Barratt North Midlands team for more than five years has been site manager at Manor Farm since 2006, during which time the development has received an NHBC Quality Award in 2007 and 2008 for the exceptional standards on site, a recognition Justin puts down to hard work and communication between the team.

Justin comments: "I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the team at Manor Farm and the recognition from NHBC comes as a well deserved reward for the combined effort of everyone on site.

NHBC's Pride in the Job Awards are only presented to site managers who have demonstrated outstanding levels of skill across 38 areas of site management, including technical expertise, quality control and health and safety and the ‘Seal of Excellence' Award is reserved for those who manage their sites to an exceptional standard, placing them amongst the top 100 site managers in the UK.

The competition is rigorous with around 18,000 site managers across the UK audited by NHBC. Each site manager is assessed over a 12 month period to gauge an accurate view of how they manage their site and the overall quality and finish of the new homes, therefore to be awarded one of the coveted awards is a fantastic accolade for any manager.
