House-hunters descend on Grantham

House-hunters descend on Grantham “Now is the time to buy,” comments Steve Matthews, sales director for Persimmon Homes East Midlands. It could be argued that he might be slightly biased but there is credible evidence to suggest that now is an ideal time to buy a brand new home in the Grantham area.

The reports regarding mortgage lending over the past few months may have unnerved a number of potential purchasers, however the message from the leading developer in the East Midlands is that buyers can use this market to their distinct advantage.

Steve continues: “With our extremely competitively priced properties across our 20 developments in the East Midlands region it’s clearly a buyers’ market. This together with our enticing range of incentives frees up the ability to move quickly and at a price they can afford.”

Persimmon’s success can be found at one development in particular – Hunters Gate in Grantham. The homebuilder has announced the success of the first phase of the development, made up of two and three bedroom starter homes, with continued interest in the development meaning that it’s now launched the second phase of four, four/five and five bedroom housetypes to satisfy demand.

Steve explains: “We’ve seen that the current shortfall the number of people buying a new home has nothing to do with interest in our beautiful new homes, but with the obstacles involved with obtaining a mortgage.

“We’ve therefore priced our homes from just £132,500 and are offering our acclaimed 85 per cent shared equity scheme to househunters to assist with the ongoing financial constraints associated with buying a property.”

Steve concludes: “The early signs of improvements in the mortgage market coupled with our reasonably priced homes will come as great news to househunters in the region. The message is clear – whatever your budget, circumstance or requirement, there’s a new home, a deal and informed advice available to get you on the move – three key factors that should certainly help boost consumer confidence.”

Situated close to the centre of Grantham, there are a whole host of amenities on the doorstep of Hunters Gate, including shops, leisure and recreational facilities as well as good local schools and healthcare provision. Commuters will be very interested in the site due to its easy access to the A1 and A52, while those looking to travel to London will find the station close by and a direct route into the capital within 75 minutes.
