Stamford Homes staff honoured for long service Four long-serving staff from Stamford Homes have been honoured for their many years of dedication to the company. Collectively, they have notched up almost a century of service for the Grimsby-based new homes builder, formerly Chartdale Homes Limited.

They latest member of the team to receive recognition is conveyancing co-ordinator Nikki Mummery – who is celebrating 20 years with the company.

She said: “My role with the company started as a receptionist at the age of 18 within the sales department.

“I remember thinking ‘I can’t do this but I’ll give it a go’. Little did I know I would be here 20 years on as a conveyancing co-ordinator!

Nikki added: “The 20 years have been very challenging at times, due to the changes we have seen in the market conditions, but I do believe this was partly why I stayed within sales – I do enjoy a challenge! “

Others who have recently been honoured are:

- Dave Chidwick – 35 years. Dave started with the company as a plaster – initially thinking he would stay for a couple of months! He progressed to join the maintenance team, and now holds the post of quality manager.

- Stuart Hockney – 20 years. Stuart started off in the technical department, and then worked on on site as site manager, before progressing to his current role of production manager.

- Andy Maggs – 10 years. Andy joined the company as a buyer and progressed to buying manager before developing to his current role as quantity surveyor.

Stamford Homes managing director Brendan Blythe said: “These highly valued members of the team are an absolute credit to the company, and their dedication during the challenging times the industry has faced is testament to the many skilled and committed staff we are proud to having working with us.

“We have many other members of loyal staff who have achieved long service milestones throughout Stamford Homes and our congratulations to them all.”
