Three is the magic number at Squires Court

Three is the magic number at Squires Court A Lincolnshire couple have been so impressed by Barratt North Midlands’ Squires Court development in North Hykeham that they have recently purchased their third home there.

Jackie Poole, owner of cleaning company High-Spec Cleans and her husband Colin bought their first Barratt home back in 2004. They purchased a three- bedroom home in the style of an Enbourne and were one of the first to exchange contracts on the new development.

Jackie, 46, comments “We were looking to purchase a buy to let property and decided that the low maintenance and guarantee that comes with a new build would be the perfect option. We found the ideal home at Squires Court which has proven to be a good investment.”

The couple were so impressed by Squires Court and the service they received from Barratt that they decided to purchase a five- bedroom detached home in the style of a Canterbury as the family home.

Jackie says “I love the fact that Squires Court is part of an emerging community and that really appealed to me when we first looked around. It has a thoughtfully planned layout, with lots of cul-de-sacs and even though it’s quite sprawling, it’s a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood- an ideal development to bring up a family.

“The Canterbury stood out for me as a family home, it is a large property with a well planned layout and spacious rooms- perfect for our demanding family lifestyle and we enjoyed two happy years there with our youngest Richard and Olia.”

Richard and Olia both left the family home last year after getting married in August and October respectively, and the couple found that a large five- bedroom property was too big for just the two of them so decided to downsize to a smaller property.

Jackie and Colin really liked the area as it is handy for Colin’s commute to Barnsley where he works as a Director for Sash UK, and as they were more than happy with the standard of the homes at Squires Court and the good customer service they had received, they opted to move just down the road into a four- bedroom detached home in the style of a Radleigh.

Jackie adds “We really liked the layout of the Radleigh style and even though it’s a four- bedroom home, it’s not too big for us. It has a double garage which is hard to come by nowadays and an open plan kitchen and family room which I love. There is a good size garden too which will come in very handy when we invite all the kids and their partners around for BBQs!”

As Jackie and Colin bought their newest home off plan, they were able to choose a number of the features including the kitchen, tiles and flooring, which is just one of the benefits of buying off plan.

Jackie adds “Being able to stamp our own design preferences onto our new home really appealed to Colin and myself. We’ve always enjoyed DIY in the past and the challenges that come with doing up an old home, but after buying our last home, I have to say I enjoyed moving in and not having to do anything and I’m looking forward to doing that again.”

The couple are due to move into their new home on the 30th June, five years after purchasing their first home on the development.

James Poynor, Sales Director at Barratt North Midlands comments “We often find that Barratt customers keep coming back to us, not just because of our quality homes but also due to the excellent customer service we pride ourselves on providing.

“Squires Court is a modern development which offers a superb range of quality new homes which are ideal for families, property ladder climbers and downsizers like Jackie and Colin.”

Situated on Claudius Lane, Squires Court comprises a superb range of four- and six- bedroom homes in a pleasing location just outside North Hykeham.

North Hykeham offers a wide range of local amenities including shops, schools, public houses and restaurants. The area benefits from a fantastic transport network with excellent rail and road connections.

Prices at the development start from £229,995 for a four- bedroom detached home.
