First time buyer makes a milestone for Stamford Homes

Having qualified for the scheme, which offers eligible customers the chance to own 100 per cent of their home for 70 per cent of the price, John is now the proud owner of a trendy two-bedroom coach house.
John, who works as a caretaker at a school in Grimsby, was living with family close by until his recent move.
He said: “I had been looking for a place of my own for a while, but there wasn’t anything that I could really afford – being a single purchaser and a first time buyer.
“However, I was told about the Aspire development and when I visited, found out about HomeBuy Direct. The scheme meant that I was able to buy the new home I wanted at a price I could afford – giving me a valuable foothold on the housing ladder.”
Stamford Homes is offering the Government’s HomeBuy Direct shared equity scheme at many of its developments.
While the customer needs to meet 70 per cent of the mortgage, the Government and Stamford Homes will each provide up to 15 per cent of the shared equity.
The balance is mortgageable through many major lenders – and with the possibility of no deposit to pay.
Stamford Homes sales director Steve Woomble, said: “It’s fantastic that we are able to provide this scheme on a selection of our new homes – and are delighted that it has worked for John in Louth.
“We have a number of other reservations progressing through the HomeBuy Direct scheme, which gives first time buyers, key workers or people needing to upsize the opportunity select the home of their dreams at a price they can afford.”
There is currently something for everyone at the Aspire development – from two-bedroom coach houses to three bedroom townhouses and four-bedroom homes. Prices start from £119,950.
The sales and marketing suite is open from Thursday to Sunday from 10.30am until 5pm.
