New dimension coming to hemisphere

18th March 2007 Print
Living Room at Hemisphere Style savvy urbanites on the hunt for a slice of fresh air alongside their contemporary living came out in their droves when a lusted after apartment venture in Edgbaston released its new phase, H2.

Looking as stylish as the surroundings, eager would-be purchasers attended the launch exhibition held by Redrow at Hemisphere to enjoy a glass of champagne and look over the plans for H2.

Linda Androlia, sales director for Redrow (West Midlands), says: “The exhibition was a fabulous night and it was great to meet those interested in our new phase of apartments and show them what we’re planning. By the end of the evening, we’d already had ten reservations, and numerous appointments have been booked to view the show apartment.”

Since the 344-apartment venture adjacent to Warwickshire County Cricket Club, launched last May, the demand for Hemisphere’s properties has been sky high - as Linda Androlia, sales director for Redrow (West Midlands), explains.

“I think we’ve really tapped into what people want from their lifestyle today – they want to enjoy city life, to be right where the action is, but they also want green spaces and a place to chill out away from the stresses that today’s high flying lifestyles bring. At Hemisphere, people can have it all – the city centre is less than half a mile away, and rural beauty is right on the doorstep in the form of beautiful Cannon Hill park”

The proximity of the park has proved a big draw with buyers who love having this ‘extended back garden’ at their fingertips. Offering gorgeous flowerbeds, lakes, pools and trees, the park has been awarded Green Flag status. And aside the scenery, there’s plenty to keep activity lovers occupied, from riverside cycle paths, to tennis courts, bowling and putting greens, as well as boating facilities.

H2 will offer everything buyers have come to expect from apartments at Hemisphere. Both one and two-bedroom properties are available, with starting prices from £149,950, and due to high demand, four penthouse apartments are due to be released for sale early.

Linda says: “The reaction to the first phase of apartments we released has been phenomenal and I’m really excited about H2. Both owner occupiers and investors have shown an interest so far, and it’s clear a cosmopolitan community will be moving in.”

The apartments themselves have great open plan living areas, maximising the potential for buyers to be creative with the way they use space; and although there are several designs of apartment within the building, all have the advantage of giving ‘more for their money’ compared to schemes right in the city centre.

Visitors to the unique venture will also find a designer show apartment ready to view, which gives a snapshot of what life at Hemisphere has to offer. Created by interior designers Claude Hooper, inspiration is taken from high fashion.

Both Versace - where they’re using velvet fabrics in deep rich colours such as meridian blue and wine red – and Louis Vuitton, who in contrast is using bold reds with emerald greens have been reference points, and the contrasting colours have been used in different rooms to illustrate the two different sides of life on offer at H2.

Hemisphere is only part of the £100 million, nine-acre mixed-use scheme at Edgbaston Mill. The flagship scheme by Calthorpe Estates will include restaurants, hotel and leisure space as well as retail and commercial space and is set to become a prestigious place to both live and work – giving residents access to a premium lifestyle.
