Making your mark with a brand new home

The fact that you are starting with a blank canvas from day one also means you can put your own stamp on your new place and quickly make it your own.

Taking this idea to new heights is Linda Hamilton, who recently bought an apartment in Harborne, Birmingham, from luxury developer Chase Homes. She comments:

“When I decided to move from my home in Sutton Coldfield, I wanted to start completely from scratch with my next place, so that I could really make it feel like my own. I knew that in order to achieve this, I should opt for a new build development.

“I also wanted to live somewhere that was well known for its sense of community, good shops, restaurants and social life. So when I saw the apartments in leafy Harborne, I was not only delighted with the location but also the fact that I would be buying a Chase Homes apartment which – being built by a house builder renowned for quality - would provide me with a great base with which to work.”

Linda really did put her mark on her new Chase home - a one bedroom apartment with living/dining area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Once she had moved in, she upgraded the current Hatt kitchen, added a new vanity unit with granite slate top to the already luxuriously fitted bathroom and included bespoke cupboards into her bedroom and into her sitting/dining room.

She continues:

“I wanted to maintain the same high level of specification that Chase had already included in the apartment and decided to upgrade it all so that I could really make my own mark on my place and right from the word go!

“I also had my curtains specially made for me, fitted new carpets and fireplace and have chosen a neutral colour scheme which helps to set off the new furniture I’ve selected and gives the place a real sense of opulence.

“I am absolutely delighted with my beautifully formed apartment and I know I will be exceptionally happy here for many years to come.”

Chase Homes is currently building a development of 94 apartments right in the centre of Harborne, all providing a similar build quality and specification to that found in Linda Hamilton’s new home.

Prices start from £185,000 and the marketing suite is open from 10am until 5pm, Thursday to Monday inclusive.
