Mayor opens new apartments at Canalside Quarter Yesterday (Monday 10th December) at 12pm, the Mayor of Wolverhampton, Councillor Trudy Bowen officially unveiled the new residential hub of the city’s £200 million Canalside Quarter development.

The scheme, called Fusion, from award-winning housebuilder Barratt forms a major part of the regeneration plan for this area, which has been designed around the Low Level Station and the Birmingham canal.

Located on Sun Street, the development comprises 191 one- and two-bedroom apartments in varying designs. It is one of the first parts of the regeneration to be completed marking a major milestone in the transformation, which will also see the opening of bars and cafes, a hotel and a brand new glass fronted entrance to the railway station.

Adrian Farr, Barratt’s Managing Director said, “We are delighted to welcome the Mayor of Wolverhampton to Fusion today to help officially unveil this exciting project.

“After many years in the planning we have come up with a truly contemporary scheme which will help secure Wolverhampton as a destination in its own right, helping to regenerate this former station site. Already we have received high interest from potential purchasers keen to become part of the city’s transformation and we are confident that Fusion will be a huge success attracting a wide range of buyers.”

The launch also saw the opening of a two-bedroom show apartment at Fusion. As a thank you to the Mayor, Barratt provided a donation of £250 to Mayor’s charity fund. The adjacent Bluebrick restaurant catered during the event.

The public launch of Fusion will take place on Wednesday 12th December from 11am. There after the sales office will be open daily from 11am until 6pm. Prices start from £133,750.
