When sharp suited lawyer Barry Wilkinson was searching for a stylish, city centre apartment that he could also call home the jury was out until he found Redrow’s Jupiter development in Birmingham.

Having relocated from Newcastle upon Tyne and therefore new to the city, Barry was particularly attracted to living near to its centre, as he explains: “It was really important to me to find somewhere that was close to the things I liked. Living in the heart of the city, close to where I work, is perfect.

“I don’t have to worry about rush hour traffic morning or night, I’ve got everything I need on my doorstep, I can walk home after a night out and I can even pop back for lunch. It’s such a money saver as I don’t have to pay for taxis or parking. In fact, I hardly ever use my car! What's more, being so close to the train station means I can go to London or around the country at weekends.”

It wasn’t just the location of his home that appealed to Barry. Eager to buy a new build property that had enough space to entertain friends, he found his Redrow apartment offered that something extra.

“I really wanted to buy new because of the overall convenience it provides, from the 10-year Buildmark warranty on the property, to the fact that new means little to no maintenance. But I couldn’t seem to find a development that ticked all the boxes,” says Barry.

“That was until I found this one of course. The separate, spacious dining area means I have plenty of room entertain friends, which I really enjoy. Plus its canal side location means I have somewhere nice to walk around, it’s charming.”

I couldn’t have asked for more. I was anxious to move in as soon as possible as I was selling my old house at the same time as buying this one. They were very organised and worked really fast, I was very pleased.”
