Homebuyer gets dream start in Perry Common

Following its re-launch earlier last year, Barratt West Midlands’ innovative Dream Start scheme has helped dozens of homebuyers get the first step on to the property ladder. One of the first to take advantage of the scheme was dad of two, Darren Truscott, who has purchased a property at Barratt’s Bexley Park development in Perry Common.

The scheme which allows eligible homebuyers to purchase 100 per cent of the property for just 75 per cent of the price has proven extremely popular and Darren along with his two children, Rebecca aged six and Bradley aged ten, have now moved into their perfect two-bedroom home thanks to the initiative.

Darren, 33 said, “Bexley Park is fantastic; it is in a great location, both close to Birmingham city centre whilst still being a small development, which is absolutely ideal for me as I know it is safe for Rebecca and Bradley.

“I decided to take advantage of the Dream Start scheme because it meant I was able to purchase a much larger home than I otherwise might have been able to afford. The two-bedroom house is very spacious, there is plenty of room for the kids to run around, especially for Bradley who plays for a local under 11’s football team and with the use of the great size garden to practice on, you never know he could be the next Wayne Rooney!”
