Persimmon gripped with yellow fever

7th March 2008 Print
Friday 7th March is Persimmon Homes’ inaugural ‘Daffodil Day’ when staff across the Midlands region will be fundraising and celebrating all things yellow.

‘Daffodil Day’ will see staff at the company’s head office in Northampton busily raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care – the house builders’ nominated charity partner - and they are inviting local residents to take part too.

Sticking with the yellow theme, Bonbon Bonanza will be running for a week at the company’s developments in Bedford, Corby, Desborough and Milton Keynes, Northampton. Visitors to the sales offices will be invited to make a contribution to Marie Curie Cancer Care and guess the number of yellow bonbons in an old fashioned sweet jar. The person who guesses closest to the figure will win the entire jar of yellow treats!

Commenting on Yellow Day, Suzanne Irons, sales director for Persimmon Homes Midlands stated: “Marie Curie Cancer Care is working to give more terminally ill people the choice to be cared for at home, surrounded by the people they love. The work of the charity is vital to hundreds of people in Britain everyday. We are determined to show our support and hope the local community turn out in strong numbers to do the same.”

Bonbon Bonanza will be running at the following developments: Saxon Grange on Norse Road in Bedford, Rockingham Court on Rockingham Road in Corby, The Grange off Harborough Road in Desborough, Oxley Grange off H6 Childs Way in Oxley Park, Milton Keynes and Crispin’s Walk on Kent Road in Northampton.
