New Cross Hospital celebrates cracking donation Young patients on the Children’s Ward at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton are in for an Easter to remember thanks to a kind-hearted gesture from leading housebuilder, Persimmon Homes West Midlands. Rather than the usual gifts of traditional chocolate eggs, Wolverhampton-based Persimmon Homes has donated hundreds of pounds worth of much-needed toys, games and baby equipment to help entertain patients during their stay in hospital.

Play leader Zoe Lea who works on the Children’s Ward is grateful for Persimmon’s gifts. She comments: “We were really delighted with Persimmon’s kind offer. It was a really thoughtful gesture and will certainly make a difference to all of the children who will be spending this Easter in hospital.”

Anita Williams, sales and marketing director for Persimmon Homes West Midlands, added: “We are committed in supporting the communities in which we build and this donation is another example of the close relationships we have forged in this area. I hope children at New Cross Hospital get much enjoyment out of the toys and wish them all a very happy Easter.”
