Sales team grows at Somerton Court

Carla McGillivary has recently been appointed as the new Sales Negotiator at Barratt West Midlands' Somerton Court development on Short Heath Road in Perry Common.

Carla, who joined Barratt at the end of last year after working as a hairdresser, initially embarked upon Barratt's introductory training scheme and spent time at several of the company's new home developments throughout the West Midlands before joining the team at Somerton Court at the beginning of the month (April).

Carla, aged 23 explained, "Before joining Barratt I was working at a local hairdressers, but wanted to try something totally different and new home sales seemed like the ideal choice for me. The initial training scheme was hard work and a steep learning curve, but very enjoyable too and because I spent time on various Barratt developments I was fully prepared for my first day at Somerton Court.

"Barratt is a great company to work for. Everybody is very friendly and helpful and I know that someone will always be willing to lend a hand if I have any questions. Somerton Court itself is a lovely development and it is a very enjoyable place to work. There is such a wide range of homes, truly something to suit everyone, from first-time buyers to families meaning that I get to meet a wide range of people everyday and I am looking forward to being here for some time to come and watching this new community grow."
