Doctor Who's Tardis lands at Poppyfields A new show home has opened in Walsall, where visitors have spotted a curious addition to the usual fixtures and fittings. Doctor Who's Tardis seems to have landed at the three-bedroom Wroxall style home at David Wilson Mercia's Poppyfields development on Leamore Lane. The fun packed Doctor Who themed child's bedroom is equipped with Tardis wardrobe and other memorabilia and was designed by Lucy Wilson at Show Business Interiors.

The wardrobe can be unzipped so children can climb inside and imagine themselves travelling through space and time. The room is decorated with Doctor Who wallpaper and equipped with pens, pictures of daleks, Doctor Who and his female companions, not to mention a book about the television series and a Doctor Who skateboard.

Chris Ashmore, Sales Director for David Wilson commented, "Since its initial launch at the beginning of the year, Poppyfields has proven to be a very popular development. The bedroom is designed to appeal to younger children fascinated by Doctor Who. Features such as the Tardis wardrobe and the book based around the series will keep the children amused allowing parents to explore what the rest of the house has to offer.

There is also a back to school rucksack shaped like a Tardis to help get the little time travellers ready for the new school term.

"Show homes are a very important visual aid to new home developments because it gives home hunters the chance to not only see what different properties are available, but it also allows them to really envisage what it could be like to live at the development.

"The Wroxhall style home has been specifically designed for young families and comprises living room, adjacent kitchen and dining room, en-suite to the master bedroom, three further bedrooms and main bathroom."

Poppyfields is conveniently located just a short walk from Walsall providing a selection of pubs, restaurants and plentiful places to shop including Saddler's Centre and Crown Wharf Retail Park. Local attractions include Walsall Arboretum and New Art Gallery. Walsall is fantastic for education with a wide selection of primary and secondary schools in the area.

Wolverhampton is situated just 20 minutes away whilst the city centre of Birmingham is just as easily accessible, about 20 minutes by car. There is also good bus and rail links to the rest of the West Midlands. The M5 and the M6 are in easy reach making access to the North and South of the country fast and direct.

Poppyfields is located on Leamore Lane and offers a range of two-bedroom apartments and three- and four-bedroom houses. Prices start from £123,450. For more information, log on to Dwh.co.uk/poppyfields.
