Rugeley couple enjoy stamp duty holiday The Government's decision to introduce a one-year stamp duty holiday is already benefiting home buyers in the West Midlands. Mary and Philip Wilkins are just one couple who have been quick to reap the financial benefits of the Government's new ‘rescue package'. The introduction of the stamp duty holiday has saved Mary and Philip a massive £1,500 off the cost of their brand new home - a three bedroom three storey Caldon - at The Lindens, Persimmon Homes' development in Rugeley.

Anita Williams, sales and marketing director for Wolverhampton-based Persimmon Homes West Midlands, said: "It's great to see that the stamp-duty holiday, announced last week, is already alleviating some of the financial pressures associated with buying property. I'm sure the launch of this tax break will continue to make a positive difference to other couples like Mary and Philip who realise that now really is a good time to buy a new home."

The Lindens on Armitage Road, includes a range of one and two bedroom apartments and three and four bedroom three storey homes in an attractive cul-de-sac setting. Nestling near the Trent and Mersey canal, The Lindens is within walking distance of Rugeley town centre which boasts a good selection of local amenities. A wider selection can also be found in Lichfield or Stafford, both a short drive away.

Just five homes remain for sale at The Lindens with prices starting from just £85,950. For more information, log on to Persimmonhomes.com.
