You're never too old to move

When 85 year old David Pole and his wife Edith first told their friends they were downsizing to a brand new apartment at David Wilson Mercia The Lenches development, everyone told them they were crazy, but three months after moving in the happily married couple have no regrets.

David and Edith had lived in their marital home for almost 60 years, but as old age was creeping up on them, they were finding it increasing difficult to maintain it. So when their daughter Joanne suggested moving to a smaller property nearer to where she lived, the couple agreed to look into it.

Edith says "We loved our little cottage and had lived there all our married lives, so when Joanne first suggested moving closer to her we instantly dismissed the idea.
