Axis has all the right coordinates

Axis has all the right coordinates From Crediton to Coventry – via the credit crunch – new Stoke resident John Davies-Hale has dramatically improved both his work and personal life thanks to George Wimpey West Midlands.

An engineer for Jaguar in Whitley during the week, but living in Crediton, Devon, with his wife over the weekend, John decided renting was a waste of time and money and snapped up a two bedroom luxury apartment at Axis on the former Peugeot site in Stoke Aldermoor - phase one of a £200million scheme to build 1400 contemporary new homes.

John, who originally hails from Nuneaton, explains: “I wanted somewhere decent to call my own and also an investment for the future, to top up my pension, somewhere that would still sell well in 10-15 years time - and Axis was the only new development in Coventry to tick all the boxes after I did all my research.

“The new glass-fronted Peugeot HQ building is already very impressive, but there’s millions being ploughed into the regeneration of Stoke and I love the plans they’ve got for the new urban village centre that's to follow. With all the latest leisure, retail and social amenities to come it will definitely be the place to be in a few years time.

“I just drove past one day and it intrigued me, then once I saw the plans that was it, my mind was made up. I’ve got a really spacious designer apartment, that’s in the main block and nicely set back, plus George Wimpey West Midlands did me a fantastic deal. The asking price was realistic for today’s market and they also threw in carpets and a fridge freezer, so I would have been mad to turn it down.

“And I immediately hit if off with the sales executives Jo. She's very professional, knows her stuff and is very helpful and friendly, but not at all pushy and I felt totally comfortable with her from day one. The same goes for the site manager and his team – nothing is too much trouble and they always go the extra mile for you and get things sorted.”

This flagship £200 million brownfield development is built on land that incorporated Peugeot’s former UK head office and vehicle storage facility – in an area that’s become known as New Stoke Urban Village. It’s a truly mixed and sustainable development that has something for everyone.

Current availability at Axis (made up of 94 apartments and townhouses and now 80% sold) includes one bedroom apartments from just £75,995 and two bedroom versions from £118,995. The Sales Complex off Aldermoor Lane is open Thursday - Monday from 10am - 5pm. Visit Georgewimpey.co.uk for further details.
