Cannock team put the 'zing' back into show home design Black is back (did it ever really go out of fashion?) and wooing the crowds again at a sumptuous new showhome in up-and-coming Huntington village! And homebuyers are certainly getting the rub of the green with the light and airy Dunsmore by George Wimpey West Midlands at Fallowfields, which exquisitely illustrates the winning combination of striking monochromes and lime greens that are on-trend and very much in evidence on the high street this season.

Gary Hesketh, styling manager for interior designers Show Business, explains: "It all started in the kitchen/breakfast room where we added a bright, zingy lime feature wall to give an extra fresh, clean feel - and then let the theme flow throughout this spacious family home. It's a high contrast colour that has dramatic effects and certainly complements the sophisticated black furniture in the sun drenched lounge. The smart, sharp furniture in here is very contemporary, but the wall-to-wall curtains give a more homely and lived-in feel. We also used graphic, geometric wallpaper plus white leather dining chairs and wool sofas in the lounge - and it provides a perfect balance between modern and traditional."

Because the Dunsmore is a four bedroom home spread over three spacious storeys, Gary has come up with a scheme that shows you how to live in it properly and maximise the space and home dynamics available. For example, he sees the top floor master bedroom with luxury ensuite as the ultimate in privacy, personal space and a real grown ups room - with the colours and textures in here reflecting our need to recharge and revitalise, as well as live life to the full.

Gary adds: "It has a hotel feel and is an ultra smart and luxury feeling bedroom. The lime feature wallpaper sets the scene, but a soft, dove grey paint has been added for warmth and depth. We've also used satins, with mirrored furniture to give that rich quality feel, while black and white fashion photography completes the look. Meanwhile, bedroom three, also on the top floor, is a young girl's dream and fit for a little princess. It's mainly bright silver with clever touches of lime, but even though the furniture is traditional it sparkles for that contemporary twist. The crown shaped headboard also adds glamour as well as a fun element to the overall ambience.

"Bedroom two on the middle floor is also worth highlighting as we've used a softer lime and floral fabrics for a fresher, relaxing 'spa like' guest room. It feels tranquil, calm and spring-like, because we've incorporated the floral curtains into the artwork by using matching fabric panels over the bed."

Apart from its proximity to Cannock Chase, Fallowfields will offer tree-lined avenues, lots of established, mature trees, extra large gardens, plus a host of natural, green areas within its boundaries - because it falls in restricted green belt. And Huntington village itself has recently benefited from new housing, investment and regeneration, while it's very well connected too - the main A34 from Cannock to Stafford runs through the village and the M6 and Toll Road are just a few minutes drive away.

It's also fortunate to have many amenities for a village location - church, primary school, restaurant, post office, local stores and takeaway, youth club, pubs, community centre, bowling green and rugby club. The Recreation Ground has just been modernised and a new health centre is also planned.

Fallowfields comprises 85 new homes of distinction made up of three/four bedroom townhouses and three and five bed detached homes - all with garage! Trendy three bedroom, three storey mews properties like the Brecon start from only £174,995, as does the four bedroom, three storey Malvern, while the larger Dunsmore is now available from just £179,995.
