Quick move satisfies first-time buyer's appetite A sandwich and takeaway shop manager recently satisfied his family's growing appetite for their ideal first home, when he purchased a three-bedroom detached property at David Wilson's Hamlet Place development in Tipton.

Born-and-bread Tipton man and sandwich connoisseur, Paul Oliver (34) now lives with his partner, Michelle Boxley (23) and their family - four-year-old Ryan, three-year-old Ronnie and ten-month-old Keeley. As soon as the couple spotted the three-bedroom home called the Hadley, they fell in love with the property and reserved it on 9th September. And to the first-time buyers' delight, just over three weeks later the five moved in on September 26th.

To seal the deal, David Wilson offered five per cent deposit paid with a discount off the house. The cherry on top of their quick and seamless move was when the housebuilder's staff bent over backwards to look after the couple, answering any queries or issues they had straight away.

Paul said, "Now, we have lots of space, a big back garden and three-bedrooms. For us, new builds are just so much better than older houses because of the amount you save on DIY - they are quick and easy to move in to, and the energy bills aren't as high.

"We are so pleased with our new home, but it wasn't the discount that closed the deal - that was an added bonus. The main thing was that it was out of the way and was safe for the children to play."

Life has been made easier in many ways for Paul, but the move has meant that he is as local to his workplace as the produce he uses to make the dinners, breakfasts and sandwiches he sells from the Brunch Box, on Owen Street.

Chris Ashmore, Sales Director for David Wilson Homes, said, "I am so pleased that Paul and Michelle have found a home they feel happy bringing their children up in. Hamlet Place is an ideal development for families, as there are so many good primary and secondary schools within walking distance.

"Not only that, there are some great local and regional facilities and attractions to take advantage of using either the main bus route, or direct access to main roads which lead to Birmingham and Wolverhampton, as well as the M5 and M6 motorways."

Hamlet Place is situated on Bloomfield Road in Tipton and offers one- and two-bedroom apartments and three- and four-bedroom homes, with prices ranging from £79,950 to £299,950. For further information, log on to Dwh.co.uk.
