Late night shopping for Tipton homebuyers

9th June 2009 Print
Late night shopping for Tipton homebuyers Homebuyers looking for some help to secure a new home, need look no further than to David Wilson Mercia’s Hamlet Place and Poppyfields developments, where the homebuilder is hosting a series of late night events this month.

Both Hamlet Place on Bloomfield Road in Tipton and Poppyfields on Leamore Lane in Walsall will be open an additional two hours, until 8pm, on alternate Thursdays this June. The evenings have been specifically designed for those homebuyers who are interested in taking advantage of the joint Government and David Wilson scheme called HomeBuy Direct, in order to buy their dream home.

HomeBuy Direct is an equity scheme which has been developed to help make the dream of homeownership a reality. The scheme allows purchasers to receive an equity loan of 30 per cent of the value of their new home, which is jointly funded by David Wilson and the Government. The buyer then finances the final 70 per cent with either a mortgage, a deposit, or a combination of the two.

Chris Ashmore, Sales Director for David Wilson Mercia commented, “HomeBuy Direct is a fantastic scheme which helps those on a lower income or families with growing needs to buy a new home, and we are very excited to be able to offer this to homebuyers.

“However, we do understand that buying a home can be a confusing process, particularly when it comes to considering the options for financing the property. This is exactly why we are opening the sales offices at Hamlet Place and Poppyfields until 8pm on Thursday evenings, specifically for those purchasers who want to find out more about the HomeBuy Direct scheme and how it can help them to buy their dream home.

“There is no appointment necessary and our trained sales staff will be on hand to talk potential purchasers through HomeBuy Direct and advise which of our homes are available on the scheme. Visitors will also be able to collect their free HomeBuy Direct information pack which gives them all the details needed for making an application.

“There are only a limited number of homes available with HomeBuy Direct, therefore those considering this scheme should take advantage of these late night openings in order to secure their new home.”

HomeBuy Direct is designed to suit a wide range of people under a variety of circumstances. Those eligible include first-time buyers, anyone wanting to move from social rented accommodation to purchase a home, key workers i.e. NHS, those in private rented accommodation, or anyone running out of room at home who need a further bedroom for an expanding family – but the combined annual household income must be under £60,000.

Poppyfields offers a selection of two-bedroom apartments and three- and four-bedroom houses, with prices starting from £99,950. The sales office will be open until 8pm on Thursday 11th and 25th June. Hamlet Place offers a selection of three- and four-bedroom houses, with prices starting from £165,000 and will be open until 8pm on Thursday 18th June.
