Direct success for Barratt sales negotiator

22nd June 2009 Print
Direct success for Barratt sales negotiator HomeBuy Direct is proving to be a hit at one of Barratt West Midlands’ Wednesbury developments, where 11 applicants are currently jumping through the hoops to purchase their dream brand new home for 70 per cent of the price.

Monarch’s Gate recently welcomed experienced sales negotiator, Bob Marley, through its doors and since then he has made a huge impact through the joint Barratt/Government equity share scheme. And just a few weeks ago, the division’s first purchasers on HomeBuy Direct completed on a home at the King Street development.

The influx of applicants since the scheme’s launch is down to a number of reasons. Using HomeBuy Direct they will be able to purchase a home for as little as £47,425 – an ideal price for people on a lower income or those looking to make a first step onto the property ladder. Alternatively, families who need more space are able to buy a three-bedroom home from £100,765.

Not only this, Monarch’s Gate offers an ideal location close to the recently opened Morrisons, good schools and the M6 motorway, making it ideal for commuters and homehunters who want to live within easy reach of their family.

Bob Marley, Sales Negotiator at Monarch’s Gate, said, “HomeBuy Direct really has made an impact to people who want to buy in the Black Country. The fact that the homes are available for 70 per cent of the price means their monthly outgoings are more affordable and there is no need to save for a deposit.

“It has been a great start here at the development – the sales have been flying in and not only on this scheme, which I think really shows people are still in the market and want to buy a brand new home.”

Graydon Worthing, Sales Director for Barratt West Midlands, said, “Bob has made a great impact at Monarch’s Gate since he arrived.

“I am not surprised that HomeBuy Direct has been popular with people as it really is a lifeline for anyone wanting to purchase their first home, for families who need more space but otherwise would not be able to afford it and for anyone who is in social or private rented accommodation who would love the chance to buy.”

At Monarch’s Gate, there are one-bedroom coach houses from £67,750, a one-bedroom apartment for £80,750 and two- and three-bedroom houses from £110,600 all on the normal price. Under HomeBuy Direct these can be purchased from £47,425, £56,525 and £77,420 respectively.
