Good start for new girl on the block at Merryfields

Eexperiences Barratt West Midlands Sales Negotiator, Lucy Turner has made her mark at the housebuilder’s Merryfields development with 11 sales in seven weeks since her arrival.

Lucy has worked for the company for four years, but since her introduction to the Brierley Hill development on North Street at the end of February, she has made her friendly, approachable technique and knowledge of how to help people purchase the property of their dreams really count.

She said, “When people visit Merryfields I show them around the development and pinpoint properties which are ideal for their needs and budget. But obviously with the deals we offer many people are pleasantly surprised by what they can actually afford.

“I usually have an informal chat to them about the buying process, going through what their expectations are and I then refer them to our mortgage brokers.

“The challenge is to get from the point of reservation to completion and a final move as smoothly as possible. My job is to make sure it seems easy to the buyers and to help them get over the hurdles in a stress free and painless way to ensure they have a great buying experience.”

Merryfields currently has a wide range of properties on offer, ranging from apartments to three storey houses and large family homes. With a variety of people moving into the development, Lucy says one of the most enjoyable parts of her job is getting to know the purchasers and watching the community grow.

“I love talking to people here – everyone is really friendly and they are all getting to know each other. It is one of those developments where people buy the property as a home rather than a place to let so Merryfields has a nice community feel about it,” Lucy added.
