Key workers given help for home ownership

Key workers given help for home ownership Key workers in and around Wednesbury can take a helping hand to unlocking their door to home ownership with Barratt West Midlands’ latest offer to pay £500 towards their reservation fee.

This means, doctors, nurses, teachers, police and anyone working for the benefit of the local community will have an extra boost to buying their first home or moving up the property ladder at the housebuilder’s Edenside development on Elwell Street in Wednesbury.

Barratt will pay the £500 fee, taking some of the financial weight and stress away by ensuring these type of workers get the key to the property they want. By reserving the home, this prevents any other offers from being made and ensures it is kept whilst the completion goes through and if needs be, whilst the former property is sold.

Furthermore, those looking to purchase an apartment at the development can also take advantage of Dream Start – an equity share scheme where people buy 100 per cent of the home for 75 per cent of the price. That means, apartments which are priced from £99,950 can be bought from as little as £74,962 with this deal. Barratt will cover the remaining 25 per cent with an interest free deferred loan, repayable after 10 years of when the property is sold – whichever is sooner.

Graydon Worthing, Sales Director for Barratt West Midlands, said, “Edenside is a super development which sits close to a lot of schools, a hospital and a nurses training school – we do get a lot of enquiries from key workers about the homes here, so we have decided to make it easier for them to purchase their dream home by paying the reservation fee.

“At Edenside, we offer two-bedroom apartments from £99,950 and four-bedroom homes from £168,500. It is a fantastic development with properties designed to suit people across the housebuying spectrum, from first-time buyers, to downsizers, people looking for more space and young families.”

Edenside is situated on Elwell Road in Wednesbury – for further information log on to Barratthomes.co.uk/edenside.
