Redrow secures its future in the land market

Edward, who is leading the land department at Redrow Homes (Midlands), in Tamworth, has worked his way up through the Redrow ranks after joining as an engineer in 2003.
But whilst he is proud to have landed his “dream job,” Edward is more enthused by what his appointment says about Redrow as a company.
“Very few companies are appointing land managers at the moment and I think my recruitment shows Redrow is serious about adding to its land bank and opening new developments,” he says.
“We are looking at acquiring immediate land in the Midlands area with some very exciting sites already targeted and things are definitely on the up.
“Working for Redrow is very rewarding and they have a great company culture. Their attention to detail and the quality of their homes is very impressive and I am optimistic about the future.”
Edward’s Redrow career has been varied, allowing him to see many sides of the business. After working as an engineer, Edward spent 12 months undergoing a management training course which covered all aspects of the business. He was then promoted to technical co-ordinator, working on some of Redrow’s major developments.
Matthew Pratt, managing director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), says: “Edward has earned his promotion and will be a valuable asset to our land function. He will be working closely with the team to immediately identify and procure land to meet the ambitious growth expectations we have for the region.”
Redrow already has around 20 developments across the West, East and central Midlands area, including new homes in Birmingham, Edgbaston, Lichfield, Solihull, Corby, Bingham and Lincoln.
