New homes sell out in Streetly

28th August 2009 Print
New homes sell out in Streetly With its stock of homes already sold out for 2009, leading house-builder George Wimpey North Midlands is offering customers excellent deals on houses purchased off-plan at its Kingsland Grange development in Streetly, Birmingham.

Customers can currently choose from a selection of three, four and five-bedroom property designs ranging from £179,995 to £395,000 – superb prices which can be secured now before the market picks up again.

Daniel McGowan, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “With signs that confidence is returning to the property market, now really is a good time to reserve a new home.

“In addition to our range of incentives to help homebuyers in all circumstances, including first-time purchasers, our customers will secure their home at a fixed price, even if properties of the same design rise in value before their home is ready for them to move.”

House prices rose 1.3% in July according to Nationwide – the fourth time in six months – yet would-be movers can still take advantage of property prices that are an average 6.2% lower than this time last year*.

Just one of the homes available to purchase off-plan at Kingsland Grange is the four-bedroom ‘Westbourne’, priced from only £285,000 and a superb home for families.

At its heart is a beautiful kitchen/dining room with French doors to the rear garden. A separate living room with attractive bay window to the front, a cloakroom and integral garage complete the ground floor.

Upstairs, the landing leads to a master bedroom with en-suite, three further bedrooms – one which could double as a home office – and a main bathroom.

The three-bedroom ‘Chester’ housetype also features an en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom, while the five-bedroom ‘Linford’ boasts two en-suites, a utility room, two reception rooms and a double garage.

All new homes available enjoy a specification which includes gas central heating, double glazing and a fully fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and hood.

By choosing their home before it has been built, purchasers can also choose their flooring and carpets, kitchen finishes and appliances, showers, tiling, bathroom suites and lighting. Because many options are built in as each property is constructed, the earlier a property is reserved, the more choices there are.

Streetly is home to a wide range of shops for everyday needs, a library, community sports facilities, pubs and places to eat, four primary schools and a specialist sports college. Sutton Park nature reserve – 2,400 acres of woodland, heath and wetlands – offers ample opportunity for walking, cycling, fishing, sailing and orienteering and lies to the east of Streetly.

For commuters, Birmingham and Walsall are both within easy reach by car and by public transport.
