Linden offers £10,000 handshake

Linden offers £10,000 handshake Linden Homes has introduced a bonus system at its new Air development in Crawley, West Sussex, where customers will be gifted £10,000 cash with the purchase of their new home, to be spent however they choose.

All customers who reserve their new home at Air within the next month will receive this valuable boost, as part of a drive to help young families, couples and first-time buyers looking to gain a vital step-up the property ladder. With prices at the development starting at just £239,995, receiving £10,000 cash-back to subsidise final costs will be a popular option and a particularly attractive prospect for young families.

First time buyers will no doubt wish to take advantage of having a ready-made deposit, while others may decide to spend the cash on furnishings and interiors, a car or even a once in a lifetime holiday.

Ian Randall, Managing Director of Linden Homes South East comments:

“Linden Homes is fully dedicated to its customers. We recently came top out of twenty-two housebuilders in a Government customer service league and achieved four stars out of five for whether customers would recommend the company to a friend. With this new scheme, we can continue to meet these high standards and underline our emphasis on exceptional customer service.”

The race to take advantage of the cash-back scheme has now begun following the huge success of phase one at the development. Sale of the first group of homes was completed in just two months, with five properties secured in the first week of business.

The rapid sales demonstrate the rarity of schemes such as Air in the South East, and it is feared that the gap left by the missing supply of three-bedroom houses will have a lasting social impact if left unfilled, with families prevented from making the step up that they require.

In an interview with The Observer this week, Yvette Cooper announced plans to reduce the demand on housebuilders for high density one and two-bedroom apartments to encourage an increase in the production of family homes. The Housing Minister called specifically for a return to the ‘traditional, family terraced home,’ amid concerns from homebuyers and builders such as Linden, that families are not being catered for in the Government’s current climate of apartment building.

Homebuyers in the West Sussex area, however, will not have to wait for these calls to become a reality. Air provides precisely the type of housing called for this week, helping to address the extreme shortage of suitable family housing in the area, while at the same time offering a potential route onto the property ladder for younger people looking to buy for the first time. These homes are also arranged in a style reminiscent of the traditional terraced street pattern hailed by the Housing Minister.

Air is situated in the quiet, upmarket residential area of Pound Hill in Crawley, West Sussex. All homes include good-sized rear gardens, personal allocated parking and spacious interiors, with fully fitted kitchens and two designer-quality bathrooms.
