A double sell out for Redrow in West Sussex

26th November 2007 Print
Redrow has proved it has some of the hottest properties in West Sussex, with developments in Crawley and Horsham selling out in quick succession. However, the region’s eager home buyers can still get their fix thanks to available homes in Berkshire, East Sussex and Hampshire.

All homes at the award-winning housebuilder’s Porterhouse development, in Crawley, and One Eighty development, in Horsham, have now been snapped up showing just how well the wide range of properties in great locations have been received by homehunters.

The award-winning house builder chose the Porterhouse site precisely for its location; adjacent to Three Bridges railway station which offers direct journeys to London and Brighton. Likewise there are good connections to both cities for road commuters. The development is also just 10 minutes by train from Gatwick Airport.

Redrow transformed the former brownfield site, which was previously home to a car showroom and workshop, and improved the local environment in the process, turning it into a thriving residential community.

Redrow’s other recent success story in West Sussex was also an area of land in need of redevelopment. One Eighty was previously occupied by a former service station, before Redrow revamped the site by building 44 contemporary two-bedroom apartments. The house builder spotted its potential due to its convenient location; close to the amenities of Horsham’s historic town centre and with great road and rail links to London, Chichester, Brighton and Gatwick Airport.

Tina Chalk, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Southern), said: “Selling the final homes at both of these developments successfully highlights Redrow’s skill in combining stylish design with quality built homes in sought-after, easily accessible locations. It’s all about providing the right property, in the right location at the right price.

“And that’s exactly what we can offer at other Redrow ventures in the south of England, including Imperial Heights, in Bracknell, Kennet Heath, in Thatcham, The Boardwalk, in Eastbourne and Farnborough Central, in Farnborough.

“In addition we’ll also be looking for new opportunities to repeat this successful formula elsewhere in West Sussex and the surrounding counties.”

Redrow’s award-winning waterside venture, The Boardwalk, at Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne, has a range of unique one and two bedroom apartments available from £199,000, and a fabulous three-bedroom penthouse with a £650,000 price tag.

The unique development has been a success story for Redrow since it was launched. Its major draw is that it appeals to buyers at various life stages - it’s a dream come true for young professionals, holiday home buyers, investors and retired couples searching for a retreat by the sea.

And in Farnborough, Redrow has just launched a selection of luxury homes on the former site of the Royal Aircraft Establishment (RAE) headquarters in Farnborough, where sales have already got off to a flying start.

The 12-acre development, Farnborough Central, will eventually feature a mix of 85 refurbished apartments, in existing buildings of historic interest, plus 194 new-build apartments and 54 new townhouses that will be sympathetically designed with art deco and modernist influences. Prices at Farnborough Central start from £185,000 for a one-bedroom apartment.
