Town centre apartments released in Bognor Regis

7th April 2008 Print
Town centre apartments released in Bognor Regis Bognor Regis has long served as one of the nation’s favourite seaside holiday spots and, although its Butlin’s days may be over, it is a thriving holiday town. But there is more to Bognor than its seaside promenade and Birdman Rally, the annual human-powered flying machine competition, as the town gears up for a serious revamp.

And although building work on the new town centre will not start until next year, there are first signs that this is a twenty four hour town in the making and a great place to live. Persimmon Homes is the latest developer to give Bognor a vote of confidence with the launch of its first residential development in the area.

The aptly named Twenty Four development comprises twenty four apartments that are bound to appeal to anyone looking for a town centre pad. And with the town’s revamp firmly on course, these apartments will be hot property when the new town centre opens in 2013.

And househunters who could do with a helping hand in securing a home will be pleased to discover that Persimmon is offering a shared equity scheme at the site. The scheme facilitates purchasers to pay for 75 per cent of the property with Persimmon making up the rest, enabling buyers to own 100 per cent of the property.

This means that the one and two bedroom apartments, priced from £129,950 and £167,950 respectively, can actually be purchased for as little as £97,463 and £125,963, making your first mortgage a whole more affordable.

Purchasers then have up to ten years to pay back the remaining 25 per cent of the property price until they sell or transfer. With most people’s salaries certain to increase over a ten year period, the opportunity of no interest to pay on the remaining 25 per cent offers an affordable way to home ownership.

All one and two bedroom apartments at Twenty Four come with a parking space or a car port that offers additional shelter against bad weather and benefit from an open space design of the living / dining which links into the kitchen. Some apartments, including the lovely three bedroom duplex, also benefit from an en-suite bathroom to the main bedroom.

Twenty Four benefits from good road and rail links. The A259 links Hawthorn Road to the M27 and the nearby cities of Chichester and Southampton.
