It's playtime at Saddlers in Billingshurst

It's playtime at Saddlers in Billingshurst Residents at Saddlers, the development of 48 new homes in Billingshurst, can now enjoy watching their children have fun in the new playground just completed by Barratt Southern Counties. The purpose-built area, with ‘play safe' equipment, was recently declared open at this development of two, three and four-bedroom properties.

"Creating a sense of community is what it's all about," says Trevor Sawyer, managing director of Barratt Southern Counties. "We are alive to the needs of residents, and listen to what they are telling us. The new playground at Saddlers, as well as providing a secure play area for children, allows residents to mingle and to get to know each other."

Kirstie White, whose daughter cut the ribbon to officially open the playground, said: "The play area is great because it's literally on my doorstep; it's easy to keep an eye on the children while they play with their friends. My daughter has already met two new friends, who she will be starting school with in September. It's a good way to meet other mums too."

For families with children, Saddlers is perfectly situated for access to local infant and junior schools, both within easy walking distance.

The range of different homes on offer at Saddlers allows plenty of choice for purchasers of all types, from those buying their first property to those seeking a larger family home. Homebuyers can choose a traditional two-storey house or opt for the increasingly popular option of a townhouse on three floors, which provides families with added flexibility. The success of the property mix has been underlined by sales which have reached 80 per cent.

Billingshurst offers a good selection of local amenities, whist the larger town of Horsham, approximately 13 miles away, offers an array of entertainment and shopping facilities. Direct services to London Victoria from Billingshurst station take just over one hour.

Saddlers is within easy reach of woodland walks, the scenic Rivers Arun and Wey, plus the Arun Canal, making it ideal for those who enjoy activities in the countryside. The south coastal towns of Brighton, Chichester and Bognor Regis, with all their quintessential English charm, are easily accessible by car or train.

By offering an exceptional 100 per cent home exchange package and free removals, Barratt Southern Counties is providing help for all those who choose Saddlers to be their new home. Barratt will value buyers' existing homes and agree an acceptable sale price, then assume the responsibility of selling their home; Barratt will also organise and pay for the Home Information Pack (HIP), by obtaining copies of planning permissions and arranging for the compulsory energy performance certificate.

The new Barratt Choices Centre in Guildford means that all Barratt Southern Counties' buyers will now be able to choose from an enormous range of state-of-the-art fixtures and fittings, everything from carpets to toothbrush holders, to change or upgrade their specification. Though more choices are available with off-plan properties that are still in the early stages of construction, even those buying homes that are nearly complete will be able to add some finishing touches. After browsing for inspiration, visitors can relax in the café with their families to make those all-important final decisions on colour and style.

At Saddlers two-bedroom properties are available from £226,995 and three-bedroom properties are available from £299,995. For more information visit Barratthomes.co.uk.
