Winners by design at Horizon, Rustington

Oliver and Jennifer Small will be dining out on their competition success at Berkeley Homes' Horizon development at Rustington as lucky winners of the recent designer critique weekend held in the showhome.

Their prize is a meal for two, sampling the superb cuisine at fashionable ‘East Beach Café' which, like Horizon, is renowned for its striking architecture and seafront location. "We love it here," says Jennifer. "We can see the sea from our balcony, and the glorious sunsets. The beach is so close and the road is nice and quiet. It's very safe for our children. In fact my daughter has even worked out that it's only 160 steps for her from our new apartment to the sea!"

They use the apartment as an antidote to their busy working life, based in Hampton Hill, near Teddington, where they own a five-bedroom house. Oliver, 33, runs his own IT recruitment company, whilst Jennifer's time is currently taken up with looking after their 6 month-old son and three year-old daughter. Jennifer's parents live in Rustington, which provides another incentive to make good use of their apartment at weekends.

Rustington is a charming village that offers the pleasure of living in a peaceful seaside community, combined with the convenience of excellent transport links and major towns nearby. Just a short stroll away from Horizon is a very good selection of shops and restaurants. For a greater choice of entertainment and excellent shopping, Brighton, Chichester, Littlehampton and Arundel are all within easy reach. London Gatwick, Portsmouth, and Newhaven Airport are all about an hour's drive away.
