Summer hospitality at Kings Acres

David Wilson Homes is celebrating the arrival of summer with a Barbecue Day at its new Kings Acres development in Littlehampton on Saturday 18th July.

“Now that the better weather has arrived, we thought it would be nice to hold an outdoor event at Kings Acres,” said Mark Docherty, David Wilson sales director. “The barbecue will run from 11am to 3pm and everyone is invited.

“Visitors will be able to talk to our growing community of residents about the benefits of living here,” he continued. “They can also take a look at our two stunning show homes, which will give them an idea of the high standards they can expect at Kings Acres.”

The three-bedroom show homes are in the Henfield and Tangmere house styles. The Henfield, a terraced house, has a light colour scheme of white with lime and aubergine accents. The larger, three-storey Tangmere has an interior decor of taupe, bronze, orange and cream.

“We can offer a selection of three-bedroom homes, including a mid-terrace Lancing house, which comes with a garage and parking, and a semi-detached Arundel house with parking,” Mark continued.

“Prices range from £199,995 for a Henfield house to £249,000 for the Arundel style, and we can offer a number of buyer incentives. These include part exchange for people moving up to a larger home and Head Start for first-time buyers.

“With Head Start, buyers only have to secure a mortgage for 85 per cent of the total property price and David Wilson finances the remaining 15 per cent for up to 10 years,” he added. “First-time buyers and key workers can also take advantage of HomeBuy Direct, a major new Government initiative.

“If they qualify for Home Buy Direct, homebuyers only have to pay 70 per cent of the purchase price. The other 30 per cent is funded by a joint equity loan from David Wilson and the Government’s Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).

“The scheme is open to first-time buyers, key workers and others who are currently renting. People who have previously owned a home but are now unable to do so – perhaps where relationships have broken down – can also apply,” Mark concluded.

Households eligible for HomeBuy Direct will be earning less than £60,000 and would not normally be able to afford to buy a suitable property on the open market. There is no interest to pay on the equity stake for the first five years, although a small fee will be charged from year six onwards.

When complete, Kings Acres will offer a selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes. The development is located just two miles from the sea and Littlehampton’s Blue Flag beaches.

Littlehampton is a friendly town and the Harbour Park amusement centre, an all-weather adventure village, offers fun for all age groups. Other amenities include shops, bars, restaurants and a theatre and cinema complex. Nearby Arundel, with its castle and cobbled streets, is a popular tourist attraction.

The A259 provides easy access to the neighbouring seaside towns of Bognor Regis, Worthing and Brighton, while the A27 offers a quick link to the cathedral city of Chichester, with its fine Georgian and medieval architecture.
