Local hero scores for home builder

Enthusiastic home buyers in Colchester were ‘over the moon’ when a local football star kicked-off the launch of a lavish new show home. Colchester United defender Wayne Brown was on-hand to help Redrow Homes open play with its three-floor Thurn show home at The Myle – which showcases a bedroom decked out in United colours.

The style of the show home proved so popular that it immediately netted two reservations of similar style Thurn homes by eager buyers. There are now only eight homes left in the first release of 50 properties.

Beryl Williams, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Eastern) says: “We had a superb opening weekend for the show home at The Myle – it looked great and Wayne was the perfect person to launch it for us. This development has proved popular with a wide variety of people and by using such a spacious home, we are able to show the versatility of each home, as well as the development as a whole.”

Wayne unveiled the home with The Myle’s sales team, cutting the ribbon into the property. He then stayed around to sign autographs, pose for pictures and speak to fans.

The development is also situated on a main bus route.
