Final few family homes at The Hawthorns, Witham

7th December 2007 Print
Barratt Eastern Counties has just three four-bedroom family houses remaining at The Hawthorns, its popular development close to the market town of Witham. These homes are now ready for families to move in immediately - even before Christmas if they so choose.

To help homebuyers move quickly, Barratt is offering its popular part-exchange arrangement to those with an existing house to sell. Barratt simply buys the home and put the proceeds towards the new house. Part-exchange is safe, saves estate agent fees and can be arranged in just seven days. Or for first-time buyers, Barratt will pay the deposit, stamp duty and legal fees. To add a little extra, carpets are included within the price and Barratt is offering a complimentary luxury hamper to celebrate the festive season.

At The Hawthorns, Barratt is building a wide selection of apartments and houses, to suit everyone from first-time buyers to larger families. The development’s semi-rural position, opposite open fields and surrounded by countryside, is combined with great accessibility; Chelmsford is just nine miles away and Colchester is within fifteen miles. For commuters, nearby Witham station has frequent 45-minute services into London’s Liverpool Street.

The traditional four-bedroom houses have a very high specification with a separate living area and dining room, generous double bedrooms, smart fully fitted kitchen and two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite to the master bedroom. The design brings plenty of light into the house and the living area opens through French doors on to a fenced garden. Each house includes a garage or carport.

Witham has a very good range of shops and the enormous Lakeside and Bluewater shopping centres are less than an hour’s drive away.

For families with children, the excellent local schools are a strong advantage. Local nursery, primary and junior schools are within walking distance of The Hawthorns and a new primary school will open opposite the development in spring 2008.

Prices of the remaining four-bedroom houses at The Hawthorns start from £307,995, including carpets.
