Barratt launches new apartments in Chelmsford Aurora, a new development of 26 one and two-bedroom apartments close to the centre of Chelmsford, will be launched by Barratt Eastern Counties on Saturday, 15th March.

Early purchasers buying off-plan can take advantage of a range of incentives, including payment of their deposit or stamp duty.

These smart contemporary apartments, priced from just £179,995, are located on Broomfield Road, just a few minutes from the town centre and railway station.

Rebecca Littler, sales and marketing director for Barratt Eastern Counties, comments: “Chelmsford is a lively town with very good facilities and excellent transport links, which is making it an increasingly popular place to live. With London only 35 minutes away by train, it is very convenient for commuters. Apartments at our flagship development in Chelmsford, The Tower, are selling very quickly and we believe that Aurora will be equally successful.”

Apartments at Aurora are arranged on three storeys and set around a central courtyard. The development includes four retail spaces, one of which will be a restaurant, together with a communal garden.

Interiors are very well designed with an open-plan layout that combines the living/dining and kitchen area to maximise the use of space. Kitchens are well equipped with a brushed steel gas hob, electric oven and free-standing washer/drier. There are many different layouts available, providing buyers with an ‘individual’ home.

Chelmsford has the best town centre shopping in Essex. The pedestrian-only High Street links two major shopping malls and the neighbouring streets contain many high street and independent shops. There is also a flourishing farmers’ market every weekend.

In addition to plenty of bars and restaurants, there is a good range of nightclubs, an Odeon cinema complex and the Civic and Cramphorn theatres. For relaxing outdoors, Chelmsford has many green spaces and parks.

Prices at Aurora start at £179,995 for a one-bedroom apartment and £224,995 for a two-bedroom apartment. The first homes are expected to be ready for occupation by June 2008.

Apartments at Aurora are being marketed from the nearby marketing suite of Barratt’s The Tower, which is located in Duke Street, adjacent to the bus station.
