Savills launches the Manor House of Suttons

9th May 2008 Print
Savills launches the Manor House of Suttons Saturday 10th May sees the launch of one of the most prestigious Manor Houses in Essex. The Manor, at Stapleford Tawney, is a beautiful regency building, which dates back to 1540 in some parts, and is situated within 18 acres of mature grounds and woodland. The gated scheme has been extensively but sympathetically restored by a local developer into nine two bedroom apartments and a single one bedroom apartment.

On Saturday 10th May from 10am – 3pm, Savills will offer prospective buyers the opportunity to view the first six completed apartments within The Manor, with two beautifully dressed show homes.

Annette Smalley, head of new homes for Savills Chelmsford, comments:

“The Manor is truly a first class development. The attention to detail and finish of the properties at The Manor is of an extremely high standard and is easily on par with some London developments. The whole scheme is truly magnificent and, with interest already high, we expect the development to be very popular with local residents as well as buyers from the Capital.”

The grand splendour and history of the original manor house has been superbly retained by the developer and even as you approach the building with its large sandstone fountain it takes your breath away. However, cleverly incorporated in this development is state of the art energy saving systems. The under-floor heating and hot water supply throughout the building is powered by eco-friendly air-source pumps, which means that electricity usage and cost is kept to a minimum.

These spacious homes range in size from 710 sq ft to 1420 sq ft and every apartment is finished to an outstanding specification as standard. There is oak flooring throughout, bespoke made kitchens with granite work tops and all integrated appliances such as Bosh, NEFF and Rangemaster. The beautiful bathrooms and en suites all have British-made bathroom suites and ceramic tiles. Fittings include Grohe, Matki and Samuel Heath.

The developer has managed to restore and incorporate the original features throughout the scheme, such as exposed beams and fireplaces as well as adding clever storage solutions. The attention to detail with period coving and ceiling-roses is a perfect backdrop to the chandeliers and sympathetic lighting which combined make each residence truly amazing. The Manor House of Suttons also offers residents private leisure grounds, use of a natural swimming pond and tennis courts.

Guide prices at The Manor start from £375,000 for a one bedroom apartment and £510,000 for a two bedroom property. For more information visit Savills.co.uk/newhomes.
