Dovecote Barns in Purfleet officially launches A collection of replica barn conversions in the grounds of an outpost of the Royal Opera House has officially launched in Purfleet. The official opening of Bellway’s Dovecote Barns at High House has just taken place with guest of honour, Bill Samuel, Deputy Chair of the Regional Development Corporation, unveiling a plaque to mark the opening of this rather up-market site just within the M25 to the east of London.

Dovecote Barns at High House is a select development of 19 private homes and shares the Purfleet site with the Royal Opera House, which has created a new production park for the performing arts at High House. There is also workspace for a range of supporting creative businesses and the scheme is becoming an internationally-recognised hub for the creative and performing arts.

Bellway Thames Gateway has constructed an array of attractively-designed homes with architectural features that include paddock railings; stylish timber boarding in black to some of the external elevations; all-black external hardware; and elegant timber and metal windows. The effect creates the appearance of the best barn conversions, but with all the amenities and convenience you would expect of new homes. The last few houses are priced at £259,950 and £275,000 for the three-bedroom homes and £285,000 for the remaining four-bedroom house.

Peter Knights, Sales Manager for Bellway Thames Gateway, said: “We are pleased to officially open this prestigious development which apart from the unique attributes of this unusual location offers an attractive place to live, combining a setting that is leafy yet with proximity to the City.”
