Coastal homes in a tranquil new community A selection of beautiful waterside homes is now available at Cook’s Shipyard in Wivenhoe – the perfect location for leading life at a more comfortable pace. Bryant Homes’ picturesque collection of seafront apartments takes inspiration from the celebrated surroundings, faithfully reflecting the weatherboard and soft red brickwork architecture of this historic fishing and seaport.

The ‘Boat House’ apartment design is very appealing to those looking for a lifestyle change at Cooks Shipyard – and of this first collection of homes released for sale, only one ground floor and one second floor apartments remain for sale, priced from £169,995.

Each ‘Boat House’ features a light and airy living room with French windows, a kitchen a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a spacious second bedroom and a main bathroom.

Also available now is the two-bedroom ‘Mooring’, a luxurious duplex style apartment priced £299,995, offering generous accommodation laid out over two floors.

The first floor features a spacious reception room opening to a balcony, an open-plan kitchen, a cloakroom off the entrance hallway and a well-proportioned bedroom with en-suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe.

The second floor landing leads to a magnificent master bedroom with French doors to a balcony, walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom with separate bath and shower.

Selected apartments at Cooks Shipyard benefit from balconies and private terraces to the living areas and bedrooms, while each enjoys a high standard specification including fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and hood, double glazing and gas central heating.

Bryant Homes is helping to transform the former docklands at Wivenhoe, and the beautiful new community will also comprise places of work and leisure opportunities set around the water’s edge.

Wivenhoe’s oldest inn, restaurants and bistros serving fresh local seafood are within a stroll of the new properties, while the town is already home to shops for everyday needs, a railway station and cosmopolitan restaurants, cafes, bistros and bars.

For a wider choice of shopping, leisure and schools, Colchester town centre is less than five miles away, while a range of attractions can be found in the area, including the world-famous Beth Chatto Gardens, Constable’s Flatford Mill and the National Trust’s Paycocke’s at Coggeshall.

To see the showhome and find out more about Cooks Shipyard, visit the Marketing Suite located off Anglesea Road, Wivenhoe, and open Thursday to Monday 10am until 6pm.
