One ‘storey’ you won’t want to miss

One ‘storey’ you won’t want to miss If the family have all flown the nest and you feel it’s time for a change of scenery, then why not visit Persimmon Homes Essex’s beautiful Cedarwood Parc development in Kesgrave, near Ipswich as the new release of properties are just perfect for empty nesters and downsizers.

Neil Sykes, sales director for the company states: “We have just launched a unique chalet style bungalow, the three bedroom Grange design, which is already appealing to a host of purchasers due to the housetype’s spacious interior and feature rooms.”

The Grange design includes an entrance hallway, grand lounge with French doors leading to the rear garden, a kitchen and dining area, two sizable bedroom, a family bathroom and guest cloakroom on the ground floor, while the master bedroom with handy en suite and separate walk in wardrobe area are found on the upper level of the property. The Grange also includes a double garage area and off road parking for two cars.

Couples whose children have left home are now choosing to downsize to smaller homes and therefore releasing cash which can then be used to pursue other interests such as travel. With the Grange housetype, purchasers can downsize to a bungalow design, without compromising on space.

Neil continues: “This large property style, which spans over 1,340 square feet, is appealing to empty nesters as it doesn’t just offer great living space for now, but also for the future as the master bedroom on the bonus level can easily be transformed into a guest or family suite if the homeowner becomes less mobile. It’s a versatile property that is able to change as its residents’ requirements do.”

The Grange design is currently priced £319,950.

Neil concludes: “Due to planning regulations, the chalet bungalow design has become something of a rarity on new housing developments and it only accounts for two per cent of UK housing stock, which is why we’re so pleased to be building our Grange design at Cedarwood Parc.

Cedarwood Parc boasts a selection of just 31 private homes and even so it’s a relatively small site, it benefits from having a wide variety of properties on offer, which will appeal to a number of differing purchaser groups.

The development is being built around a series of quiet cul-de-sacs, which means it’s away from the hustle and bustle while still being just a couple of minutes walk from a Tesco Local, which provides all the necessary amenities requirement.

Kesgrave itself hosts a number of amenities including supermarkets, healthcare facilities, schools, pubs and restaurants. Kesgrave has the advantage of being located in close proximity to Ipswich, which provides residents with all the facilities and leisure pursuits expected.
