House swaps solve sellers’ dilemma in Essex Home-owners sick of the sight of their ‘For Sale’ sign are swapping their properties in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, to avoid being caught in the property chain.

A selection of new houses at Bryant Homes’ Foresthall Park development have been made available for current homeowners to buy, while part-exchanging their existing property.

Tony Woodman, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Bryant Homes, explained: “In a quiet market, many people are struggling to sell their current home.

“Our scheme at Foresthall Park means that people can come along and choose a new home and part-exchange the one they own now. It’s a simple way of beating the slowdown in the property market, and people using the scheme can enjoy a speedy, hassle-free move.”

Six homes are currently available through the part-exchange initiative at Foresthall Park, comprising three, four and five-bedroom designs.

Just one of the three-bedroom homes available now using the scheme is the ‘Hamborough’, an ideal family home with a beautiful open plan kitchen/dining room at its heart – perfect for relaxed mealtimes and entertaining – a separate lounge with French doors to the garden, and a cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to the three double bedrooms – one with a spacious en-suite – and a main bathroom.

Like all new homes at the development, the ‘Hamborough’ is finished to a high standard specification, including central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen complete with oven, hob and hood.

Prices for the three-bedroom ‘Hamborough’ start at £235,000, detached four-bedroom homes are available from £345,000, and luxurious five-bedroom houses are priced from £425,000.

Stansted Mountfitchet is a highly desirable place to live, with a great range of everyday amenities including a baker’s, a butcher’s, a chemist’s, a hair salon, a doctor’s surgery, a dentist and a petrol station. There is also a selection of pubs and restaurants in the village, and primary and secondary schools.

For commuters, Stansted Mountfitchet railway station offers direct links to London Liverpool Street, Cambridge and Stansted Airport, while the M11 is just three miles away.

Details on part-exchanging to a new home in Stansted Mountfitchet are available by visiting the development off Foresthall Road, open seven days a week from 10am to 2pm on Mondays and 10am to 5.30pm Tuesdays to Sundays, and online at bryant.co.uk.
