Persimmon works with local community in Colchester

Ian Jeffrey, managing director for Persimmon Homes Essex, explains: “At Bloomsbury Mews we are keen to create a whole new community as well as a number of attractive, yet affordable homes, which is why we have allocated a sizable amount of funding to the purchase and planting of a number of new and mature trees which are now situated in the open spaces at the development.”
Persimmon’s plan to develop an aesthetically pleasing environment to live is welcomed by residents and visitors alike as the beautifully landscaped public spaces add to the development’s overall appeal.
Councillor Martin Goss is a great believer that everyone needs to work together to ensure developments old and new come together. He feels that the responsibility to retain and enhance the Town's attractiveness lies with each of its residents.
He states: “As a long-term and devoted resident of Colchester, I feel that it is our responsibility to ensure new developments and members of the community are brought together with those who have lived here for many years. Persimmon has worked in partnership with my requests to enhance their development with extra plantation and litter bins.”
Ian concludes: “We take our role in the local communities we build within extremely seriously, which is why we were so keen to support Councillor Goss in creating and maintaining an attractive development for everyone to enjoy.”
