Persimmon’s blooming in local schools

Winners will be selected from every school participating, while one winner from each Persimmon region will see their handiwork immortalised in a calendar which will be distributed nationwide.
Jon Gibbs, sales director for Persimmon Homes Anglia, comments: “The daffodil calendar competition is an excellent way to mark our ongoing partnership with Marie Curie Cancer Care, which has been our nominated charity for the past two years. Daffodils mark the beginning of spring and undoubtedly as William Wordsworth said, ‘They flash upon that inward eye, Which is the bliss of solitude; And then my heart with pleasure fills, And dances with the daffodils.
“By hosting the calendar competition, we hope to raise awareness of the charity and its emblem, the daffodil, while also working closely within the communities we build. In addition to seeing their work published, each winner will receive a family ticket for a day out of their choice or a family cinema pass while their school will be presented with art equipment/supplies to the value of £500, so we are really giving something back to our local neighbourhoods.”
Persimmon Homes Anglia has already received confirmation from Bignold First School in Norwich, Rendlesham Community Primary School in Rendlesham, Wells Hall Community Primary School in Sudbury and Abbots Green Primary School in Bury St Edmunds whose pupils are hoping to sketch their way to victory.
Persimmon Homes Anglia is building at a range of developments across the region including in Norwich city centre, Diss, Lowestoft, Rendlesham, Bury St. Edmunds, Harleston, Soham and Sudbury.
