Persimmon Homes expands operation

Persimmon Homes Anglia, based in Lowestoft, has promoted Andy Fuller to deputy managing director to drive the business forward. Andy (37) has been promoted to the position after four years as the company’s construction director. Andy started his career with Persimmon as a civil engineering apprentice at the tender age of 16. He then went on to become site manager, contracts manager and construction manager before becoming construction director.

As construction director, Andy has been instrumental in the success of Persimmon Homes Anglia, seeing several site managers receive NHBC Quality and Seal of Excellence Awards.

As part of his new remit, he will be working closely with managing director, Alan Hadman, and will be responsible for the day to day running of the organisation.

Andy comments: “The new position will mean significant changes to my role and responsibilities with the team. As well as keeping a valued interest in the construction department, I will also be overseeing further functions including technical, land and sales.

“The housebuilding industry is always changing and I am keen to embrace new concepts, whether it is new government planning guidelines or keeping up with purchaser trends. Persimmon has always encouraged a hands-on management approach, so I am confident that I can make a difference whilst firmly keeping my feet on the ground.

“I am thrilled with my promotion and the opportunities it brings and I am looking forward to making an impact on the business in what is set to be my most challenging role to date.”

Andy lives in Hopton, and is married with two children and another due this August.
