When good friends become neighbours

17th April 2008 Print
When good friends become neighbours When Hannah Linford and her family moved into a new four bedroom family home at Crest Nicholson’s Maple Tye development in Stowmarket, they loved their new home so much that Hannah recommended Crest Nicholson and the development to her childhood best friend Charmaine Moore.

They are now neighbours and thanks to Crest Nicholson’s recommendation reward scheme, the two families now get together on a weekly basis and share their cash bonus on a take away.

The number of purchasers who have benefited from the ‘recommend a friend’ reward scheme at the development is a testimony to the quality of the homes at Maple Tye and the service that homebuyers receive from Crest Nicholson. Consequently a close knit community is being formed as more homebuyers are introducing their friends and family to the scheme.

The popularity of Maple Tye is a result of a number of factors. The development is an ideal family location with affordable and high quality, stylish family homes. With plenty of open green spaces, play areas and set in a thriving community Hannah and Charmaine couldn’t be happier to be bringing up their families at Maple Tye.

Hannah and her husband Owain moved into the development a few months before their son Theo was born. She commented: “Making the move to Maple Tye was such an easy process. Being five months pregnant we needed to find a bigger home quite quickly and Crest Nicholson was so helpful. As well as selling our old property through a full value part exchange scheme they offered us our perfect family home. After our great experience it didn’t take much to persuade my best friend and her family to move here too!”

Best friend Charmaine comments: “We came to visit Hannah and Owain after they had just moved in and we loved it so much that we signed up that weekend. With a young family we wanted a larger home and we felt we could get a lot more room for our money here.”

Both friends are now enjoying living in four bedroom homes that suit the needs of their busy family lifestyles. Large kitchen/breakfast rooms create a central hub to the home whilst the spacious living rooms benefit from French windows leading on to the gardens making the homes ideal for family entertaining and summer BBQs. Upstairs, the sumptuous master suites provide a peaceful haven for the parents to relax in and with three further good size bedrooms there is plenty of room for the families to grow.

Hannah adds: “It’s great that there is enough room in the kitchen for a table as it means that I can I can keep an eye on Theo as well as get on with everything in the kitchen. There is also a separate dining room which is ideal for special occasions or when we have guests.”

Both friends hope that their children will grow up to be friends in the future and by being neighbours the chances are quite high!

Helen Moore, Sales and Marketing Director, Crest Nicholson (Eastern) Ltd. commented: “Our Recommend a Friend reward scheme has proven very popular at Maple Tye and as a result there is a strong community atmosphere at the scheme. We pride ourselves on offering a quality product in a friendly and efficient manner. It is great to see so many people recommending our properties to friends and family and the reward is a small token of our appreciation.”

Maple Tye is just one mile from Stowmarket town centre and is well positioned for the station where regular trains run in to London Liverpool Street in an hour and 20 minutes.

To take away the stress of finding a buyer for an existing home, Crest Nicholson is currently offering purchasers a full value part-exchange service at Maple Tye. The price of a two bedroom apartment starts from £127,500 and two bedroom cottages from £149,000 and three and four bedroom houses from £158,500.
