Persimmon Homes upbeat for 2009

Lowestoft-based Persimmon Homes Anglia has reported that despite the continued downturn in the housing market during the latter half of 2008, the homebuilder has received a notable increase in the number of sales during the last two months of the year in comparison to the same period for 2007.

Jon Gibbs, sales director for the company is delighted with the results and states:

"Year on year we sold over 15 more homes in the last eight weeks of 2008 in comparison to November and December of 2007.

"These figures demonstrate that despite the fact that many househunters are facing increased financial constraints due to the obstacles involved with obtaining a mortgage, our competitively priced homes coupled with our range of incentives means that purchasers are still able to move house comfortably with Persimmon."
