Persimmon confirms commitment to Ipswich Following much anticipation, Persimmon Homes Anglia has announced the launch of its latest development in Ipswich, aptly named ‘Woodlands’ due to its wonderful leafy location in Barham.

“Woodlands is being launched following the success of our other current Ipswich developments, Deben Heath in Rendlesham and St Martins Green in the town,” states Jon Gibbs, sales director for Persimmon Homes Anglia.

He adds: “We noticing a continued trend in people looking to move to Ipswich due to the variety of facilities and amenities available, not to mention the town’s great commuter links to the surrounding area, which is why we’re really excited to launch our new development on this hot spot’s outskirts.”

Woodlands will offer househunters a selection of three, four and five bedroom homes, designed for growing and established families. Prices start from £235,500 for a four bedroom Lulworth.

The development is being constructed among areas of open space and mature woodland, making it a pleasant and peaceful place to call home.

Jon concludes: “With no less than eight differing housetypes available and the development’s admirable kerb appeal, coupled with the fact that Ipswich is fast becoming the place to be, we’re expecting Woodlands to be a popular site among local househunters.”

Woodlands is situated close to open countryside on the outskirts of Barham. The village centre hosts local amenities including a post office, newsagents, convenience store and a traditional English butcher, while a larger supermarket is just over three miles away. Good local schools are also found just two miles from the development.

Ipswich itself includes all the necessary facilities expected of a modern town and more, with local and high street shops, evening entertainment and a plethora of restaurants and cafés.

Commuters will be pleased to note that Needham Market train station is two and half miles away, with regular trains running to Ipswich. The mainline station offers a direct link to London’s Liverpool Street Station in under an hour.
